10-18" tall x 24-36" wide. A moderate sized Hosta, ‘Minuteman’ will delight you with its deep, almost blue leaves with wide, bright white margins. The spade-like foliage is elegant in containers and in a shady spot where it can shine against the greens of other perennials. Blooming in July, hummingbirds love its mauve-violet flowers. Plant in well-drained, compost enriched soil for best results and water regularly. Rabbit resistant, ‘Minuteman’ is even somewhat slug resistant. Hosta will die back each fall, then reappear in spring, it may be divided in spring or fall. Hostas also make excellent companions for Coral Bells, Columbine and Bleeding Heart.
