Airy Arboretum in Ohio, ‘Mount Airy’ Fothergilla is a deciduous shrub native to the southeastern United States, known for its fragrant, white, bottlebrush-like flowers in spring and vibrant fall foliage in shades of yellow, orange, and red-purple. It thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well-draining, moist, acidic soils. It is a perfect companion for other acid-loving plants like azaleas, rhododendrons, and blueberries.
